Ensuring proper care of your belongings contributes to their lasting quality. Please follow these guidelines to maintain your products and extend their lifespan.

Jewelry

Caring for fine jewelry requires attention to detail and gentle maintenance.

Sterling silver jewelry can acquire a lovely patina over time, enhancing its character, yet a gentle polishing with a soft cloth can restore its original shine. Swimming, showering or exercise is not recommended while wearing jewelry, as it will tarnish metals over time.

Diamonds benefit from regular cleaning to maintain their allure. Gently brush with a soft toothbrush and a mild solution of warm water and dish soap to keep them sparkling.

Freshwater pearls, being delicate gems, demand extra care. Avoid exposing them to harsh chemicals, perfumes, or cosmetics, and store them separately to prevent scratches. Wipe pearls with a clean, damp cloth after wearing to remove any traces of oils or dirt, allowing them to air dry before storage. This careful treatment ensures their luster remains intact, preserving their timeless beauty and elegance for generations to come.

Leathergoods & Accessories

Handbags and accessories will maintain their qualities if they are not directly exposed to sources of light and heat, are stored inside their cloth cases and are not over-filled so they can conserve their original shapes.

Avoid excessive contact with water, oils, perfumes or cosmetics. If your items get wet, remove excess moisture by dabbing with a soft cloth and let dry at room temperature. 

To remove unwanted creases in leather, please place a piece of paper or cloth over the leather, and iron on low to medium heat. Do not use steam. 

For natural materials such as leather, variations in tone, marks or grains are natural features that make each piece unique. The leather also ages beautifully, and will grow softer with time and use.

All accessories are handmade to last in our New York studio. Idiosyncrasies in craft should be embraced for they make each piece unique and reflect the personality and creativity of the artisan who made it. 

For Embellished Accessories, please dry clean only. Steam on low to remove unwanted creases.

Damage & Repairs

To ensure your pieces remain cherished for years, we provide a repair service for all of our jewelry. Kindly note, a nominal fee may apply and will vary depending on the necessary repair. Please contact us at customerservice@aspectajar.com with the subject "repair" for assistance.

In the event you receive an item that you believe is damaged or defective, please contact us within 48 hours of receiving the item. Please include your name, proof of purchase, a description of the issue, and photos of the item.

We aim to promptly repair or exchange your item. Please note, we reserve the right to decline return, exchange, or repair requests that fall outside our stated Returns Policy.
