MATERIALS & CRAFT
Jewelry
We have a responsibility to maintain the highest standards when sourcing our materials and making our products. Each style is completely handmade from start to finish, reflecting our unwavering dedication to artisanal work. Founder Aja Stamenov personally sketches each style, and uses a mix of wax carving and fabrication techniques to bring the jewelry to life. Collaborating with a local vendor, we employ the lost wax casting method to create our pieces from recycled sterling silver and gold. All our jewelry undergoes assembly and finishing by skilled artisans in New York City.
We prioritize ethical diamond sourcing practices by working with vendors that acquire rough stones from Kimberley Process compliant nations. These diamonds are then polished in certified fair trade facilities. All semi-precious stones are sustainably sourced as well.
All of our products are either made to order or crafted in small batches, emphasizing our commitment to minimizing waste.
Leathergoods
Our handbags are carefully crafted in Los Angeles in limited quantities. The lambskin used in our handbags comes from an Italian tannery certified by the Leather Working Group. This tannery employs sustainable practices, including recycled water systems, traceability, and ensuring fair working conditions for their workers.
Hats & Accessories
A true labor of love, our hats are designed and handmade in our New York studio. We begin by sourcing silks, jacquards, and other interesting fabrics from the finest mills, often employing scraps and dead-stock materials to reduce waste as much as possible. Each hat is meticulously cut, sewn, and hand embellished, taking up to 3 days to create. This detailed process results in a truly exceptional, one-of-a-kind treasure.
